Pair the gold print 3-1/2-inch squares with the BG 3-1/2-inch squares. Sew HSTs using the Chain Piecing Method.

Press to the gold side.

Trim to 3-inches square.

Arrange HSTs, BG 3-inch squares and center Accent square.

Sew the HSTs together in units of two.

Last week I got farther along on Koi Pond, and then was stymied once again. I finished beading all the fish, and they look great, but the purple beads do not shine as much as I had hoped. You have to be fairly close to the piece for you to notice them.

This week will be hit and miss for working on projects. I need to get the special one farther along for a quilt along later in the month. At this point, I am just not sure how I can work it around the calendar. So, much will depend on how much will get done this week. I have stitched out another Christmas embroidery.
